Forrest Bubbles for Brigid 2005

Jacobs Creek (Australia)"Bubbles for Brigid" is a classic method traditional sparkling wine dedicated to my dear wife Brigid. Marlborough with its dry cool autumn nights produces grapes with exceptional flavour and high natural acidity.
This 60% Pinot Noir/40% Chardonnay wine was bottle fermented and then allowed to age on yeast lees
for 30 months - thus giving additional flavour, richness and complexity. Lemon/straw-hued in colour,
it erupts in the glass with tiny bubbles and inviting, fresh-scented, biscuity yeast aromas.
It's lively on the palate, smooth,
creamy and rich yet delicate with fresh acidity and a lasting finish.

Limoncello

Limoncello is an Italian liqueur made from lemon rinds, alcohol, water and sugar.
It's sweet, not sour, because no lemon juice or pulp is used.
Limoncello has been enjoyed in Italy for close to a century,
and is usually served ice cold after dinner, or in-between courses as a palate cleanser.

Off dry Riesling at its best. A gorgeous floral and tangerine
nose leads to a rosehip and Turkish delight palate. The mid
palate is particularly fat and generous. The palate lingers and
finally tapers to a finish of acidity. Delightful.
